Background Verification Associate

About the role

When an employer hires someone, they trust that the CV is true. Background Verification Associates are the people who quietly make that trust safe. You take a candidate file and confirm that the identity, the degree, and the past jobs are exactly what they claim to be.

The work is a mix of calling universities and past employers, checking documents against official records in our tools, and writing up what you found in clear, defensible notes. There is no coding and no cold sales — it is careful, methodical verification work, and new joiners spend their first two weeks alongside a senior associate on live case files.

What you'll do

• Verify candidate identity, education and employment against official records and our tools.
• Call universities, past employers and references to confirm details.
• Document every check with clear, defensible notes and an audit trail.
• Flag discrepancies and possible red flags to your team lead.
• Keep each case moving so employers get results within our SLA.

What we look for

• Clear, polite spoken and written English and Hindi.
• Careful and organised — you record what you find accurately.
• Comfortable on the phone and following a checklist.
• Discreet: candidate data is confidential and handled with care.
• Any graduate degree; 0–2 years of work experience is fine for this band.
